A wee bike ride V (Ploubazlanec to Saint Quay Portrieux [31.6/36.7 km])

Weather Forecast says Afternoon RAIN!  Gotta get there early.  Good thing it's only 32 kms ;-)

Judging by the pics in the picture pane of the NEW Google Maps, Saint Quay Portrieux is quite a bit of a tourist town, but I managed to secure an ocean-view room with a terrace (!) for not too much moolah, so it should be bearable ;-0.

First stop is Paimpol.  Very pretty town. No water in the ocean, though ;-)  Rotten boats and a message from de Gaulle ;-)  At least it's not Vive le Quebec libre again.

Then it's time for one of Google Map's Tour de Slog again.
This looks barely acceptable for a bike route:

The roots are showing because people SLID DOWN this steep hill (Yes I made it down there)

Of course: The mud can't be far behind!

Out of that dark hole I emerged!  Kind of fun though once you've done it.

There were two more occasions when Google's 'bike routes' entered into thick grass and woods. The next 2 times I declined and took a detour along paved roads. I'm not 20 anymore!

A good mixture between adventure and senility ;-)
