The Business Centre of the hotel (or my 2nd Visa application to visit China proper)

I went to the Business Centre on the 27th floor this morning.  I wanted to print out a 4 page visa application to visit China proper and didn't know where else to print it out.

You get your own workstation with a HUGE monitor and a choice of Apple or Windows operating system. The air-con makes you wish you'd have worn the warm fleece you wore on the plane (it is a very comfy 22 degrees outside, which is actually cold for Hong Kong at this time of year;-). This is the view you get from your work station, the NOT full harbour view. Still nice on the 27th floor.
Every printer has 5 pages of paper in it. When you run out, the very helpful concierge gives you another 5 pages ;-)

A note on the paper format used here: It is not 8 1/2 by 11.  I don't think it is the European A4 either.
It is very confusing having print-outs in one's hand that are not a known standard size. By some strange mechanism one's hands know that something is wrong!

Yiman, who is in Guangzhou with her parents right now, and whom I want to visit there, suggested we might meet in Shenzhen instead. But in the end Yiman's schedule did not allow this trip either. So for the second time, my application to obtain a visa to visit China proper died even before being submitted.  Doesn't the saying go "Third time lucky"?
